Beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend, Mr. William “Dub” Jones, 78 of Hamilton, Ohio was called home on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

Mr. William Jones was born March 20, 1943 in Bradley, Arkansas to the late Samuel Jones,Sr. and Mable King Jones. He graduated from Townsend Park High School in 1961 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. William continued his education at Pine Bluff, Arkansas AM&N where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. William was recruited to Ohio as an educator with Hamilton City Schools for 23 years where he was loved and respected by all of his students, employees, and families in the community. Many of his former students would shout “Mr. Jones” when he drove through the streets of Hamilton, many of whom knew him as a loving disciplinarian and community pillar. In addition to his position in the schools, Mr. Jones was known to work with the community center and with charities, as a chaperone and bus driver.  This enabled many youth to visit major national sports team events. Dub loved all sports, especially fishing and was a member of many organizations including the Veterans of Foreign Wars, UAPB National Alumni Association, UAPB/AMN Alumni Cincinnati/Dayton Chapter, Ohio Retired Teachers Association and others.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Mable Jones, brother Samuel Jones Jr., and his sister Maeliza (Charlie) Blake.
