Tracy Lynn Morris, age 53, departed this life October 22, 2023 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born December 30, 1969 in Dayton, OH.
Tracy graduated from John H. Patterson Cooperative High School in 1988 were she was in various activities and played the trumpet in the band. After graduating, Tracy worked at Good Samaritan Hospital and started attending Sinclair Community College where she completed her Associates of Science Degree in Nursing. It was during Tracy’s over 15 year career at Good Samaritan Hospital she cultivated her skills in nursing and went on to further her education at The Indiana Wesleyan University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree. During Tracy’s successful nursing career she worked at various jobs until her skills led her to the Dayton VA Medical Center where she was employed for over 9 years.
Tracy was also a faithful member of Greater Love Missionary Baptist church where she served on the usher board and choir and where she was known for her delicious mac & cheese. Tracy was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Buckeyes fan. She loved going to the movies with family and friends and always enjoyed a tub of popcorn with “extra butter”. She also loved to travel and took several cruises to various destinations.
Tracy was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. She was preceded in death by her mother, Earnestine Williams and grandmother, Queen Barry.
Tracy leaves to cherish her memory: her loving sister, Amy Fletcher; niece, Emily Fletcher; nephew, Gregory Fletcher II; aunts, Ozella Holeman, Annie Kelly, Willa Hamilton and Billie (Perry) Thomas; uncle, Sammie (Darlene) Lucas; godson, Jarrick Davidson; special friends, Darrell E. Malone, Nita Lark, Pamela Massey, Shelly Logan and a host of many relatives and friends.
Tracy Lynn Morris radiated love and kindness in a world that often needs it. Her spirit will forever reside in the hearts and minds of those who knew her. While we grieve the passing of Tracy’s kind and loving spirit, we celebrate the life of a remarkable woman and cherish the memories she leaves behind.
