Theresa Peake was born on November 14, 1956 in Wetumpka, Al to Charlie Peake and Velma Peake (Coles). Shortly after the passing of her father, when she was 12 years old, the family moved to Dayton, Ohio where she was a lifelong resident.
She was a fun loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, favorite aunt and good friend to many. Theresa was the life of the party, and she loved to dance. Theresa obtained her diploma at Dayton Urban League Vocational Studies and shortly after that, she went on to work at Grandview Hospital for 20 years. Theresa attended Second Chance Ministries in Dayton, OH where Rev. Kent Jordan was her Pastor.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Peake and Velma Peake (Coles); brothers, Charles Peake (Los Angeles, CA), James Peake and Joe Peake (Christine), and sister, Velma Ghoston (Los Angeles, CA).
Theresa leaves behind three loving daughters; Tyla Woods, Tomeka Peake, Rochelle Peake and a loving God daughter, Scharlene Stovall; seven grandchildren, Dorian Woods (Shabria), William Whitfield, Monica Woods, Jewel Woods, Char’Resa Pillow, Fabian Peake, Charlese Pillow; three great grandchildren, Journee Guy, Dalion Woods and Melody’Rain Whitfield; a very special chihuahua named Brown Boi; seven siblings, Mildred Bedford (Los Angeles), Othrea Strickland (Wadley, Al), Barbara Hogan, Doris Jackson, Lathedia Peake, Lawrence Peake and Curtis Peake as well as a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close family friends.
