Ronald E. Shephard, Sr.

Ronald Eugene Shephard was born May 11, 1965, in Dayton, Ohio. Ronald who was known as “Shep” to those who knew and loved him, was a fun-loving man who loved to play chess, and listen to music, especially Sade.

Ronald was very family oriented and loved to be surrounded by his family. He especially loved to share one of his favorite hobbies, eating, with his family.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Charlie “Flat Top” Truitt, and his stepfather, Elder Earl Hayes Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Marilyn Hayes; two children, Ronald Shephard Jr. (Shanae) and Karmen Clay-Tyler (Cory); fourteen siblings, Merlinda Truitt-Johnson (Larry), Joann Richardson, Charlene Truitt-Nelson (Charles), Janette Richardson, Jeffrey Richardson, Christina Goff-Smith, Alonzo Shephard, Michelle Arnold (Kenneth), Charles “Jerone” Richardson, Earl Hayes, DeFranco Allen, Charles Goff Jr., Anita Smith, and Carlton Adams; special cousin, William Black; devoted friend, Connie Marzetti, and six grandchildren, Sarenity, Sole’, Brooklynn, Ronald III, Kameron, and Raj as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted family and friends.
