Robert Packnett, Jr.

Robert Packnett Jr, age 66 was born on October 28, 1954 to the late Willia Mae and Robert Packnett Sr. in Omar, West Virginia. He was affectionally known as “Cookie” by friends and family. Robert transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord on Tuesday June 8, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Anita Packnett, brother Raymond McDaniel, former wife Rose Packnett, infant son Robert and beloved aunts, uncles and friends.  

Robert leaves to cherish his memory five daughters Rejina Holden, Terri Packnett, Rashawnda (Antonio) Watson, Kelly Packnett and Robin Preston; three sons, Robert (Megan), Denzel and Kolby Packnett; four sisters Charlene (Harry) Anderson; Darlene (Albert) Powell; Diane (Charles) Phillips and Mamie Packnett; three brothers, Paul, Michael (Jackie), Tyrone Packnett; 22 grandchildren- Danielle, Carlton, Gabriel, Olivia, Charles, Johnny Jr., Maria, Carter, Jaxson, Roman, Greyson, Denzel Jr, Ulani, Mathias, Kamorea, Kamira, Kalynn, Kynnedi, Da’Miesha, D’Aja, and Lloyd;  7 great-grands, TraMarion, Carleah, Carlton III, Kingston, Chloe, Laniya and Kayden; special companion Cindi Farley, mother of children Rema Lewis; host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Robert graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1973.  He was an outstanding athlete, excelled in both wrestling and football. He served his country in the US Army received an honorable discharge; Robert loved the Lord and served Him from a young age. Robert was employed for many years at the Dayton VA Hospital. He loved his family and wanted the best for his children. He truly enjoyed family gatherings, watching his beloved Cleveland Browns and spending time with his friends. He looked forward to celebrating his birthday and didn’t want anyone to forget it. Robert was a kind hearted person and a quiet man of few words; he wanted nothing but the best for his children. Everyone that knew him, loved him. He will be truly missed.
