Robert Henderson

Robert Gene “Bean” Henderson was born on May 20, 1941 in Troy, Alabama. He was the eldest of eleven children born to Joseph Robert and Mattie Kate Curtis.  He entered into eternal rest on January 2, 2021.

Robert graduated from Hamilton High School. In his early adult years, he was employed by GM Fisher Body and 7UP.

Preceding him in death were his father, Joseph Robert Curtis Sr., his dearly beloved mother, Mattie Kate Curtis, his sister, Ann Henderson and his brothers, George and Norman Curtis.

Left to mourn Robert’s passing are his children; Tonya Glover, Chanteé West, Talayna Glover, Kimberly McClendon, Carmen Smith, Timothy (Nadine) Hill and Malik Lumpkin; sisters, Mary Alice (Steve-deceased) Mitchell, Deborah (Alvin) Ross, Jacquelyn (William) McCaster, Loretta Printup and Linda Triplett; brothers, Joseph Robert (Faye) Curtis Jr., Bruce (Gloria) Curtis, Ruebin (LoWanda) Curtis, Dean (Chamina) Curtis and Eddie Sudberry.  Robert is also survived by six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
