Rita Griffin

Celebration of Life

On Wednesday, August 5th 2020, Rita K. Griffin  age 60, of Harrison, OH went home to be with the Lord at UC Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones.

Rita was born on July 28th  1960 in Middletown, Ohio to Felton and Annie Griffin. She was the 10th child out of 12. Rita attended school in Middletown, Ohio and received her GED. Rita was a quiet sensitive girl who loved home life. She was a second mom to her niece and nephew, Roxanne and Ronald Hooks, taking care of them while their mother worked. She took care of her mother until her mother passed. Rita found employment in various fields until she found a home a ChambellHausfeld. Rita was a hard worker and strove to do her job well.

Rita enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, drawing and designing fashions, music and good movies. She loved to sing and sung in the choir. Her relationship with the Lord was very important to her and she shared her faith whenever possible. She was always willing to help anyone who needed it.

Her quiet loving spirit will be greatly missed. Rita was preceded in death by her father Felton and her mother Annie Her sister Patricia Howard passed away the same night. She leaves to cherish her memory 10 siblings, Jerry Allen, Kenneth Griffin, Miriam Griffin, Rebecca Webb, Felton Griffin (Esther), Carolyn Thomas, Timothy Griffin, Linda Hobson (Albert), Stanley Griffin, Vincent Griffin(Risna), a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

Memorial Service will be held on Friday August 14th 2020 at Donald Jordan Memorial Chapel, 2299 University Blvd. Hamilton, OH 45015 at 12pm. Cards or donations may be sent to 719 Olive Rd, Dayton OH 45417
