Osaretin Osaze-Agomo Obituary

It‎ is‎ with‎ great‎ sadness‎ that‎ the‎ family‎ of‎ Osaretin‎ Osaze'-Agomo‎ (Osa),‎ lovingly‎ called‎ Gwen‎ by‎ her‎ closest‎ friends,‎ announces‎ her‎ Sunset‎ after‎ her‎ 7‎ day‎ fight‎ to‎ see‎ another‎ Sunrise‎ ended‎ on‎ May‎ 25th‎ 2019‎ at‎ age‎ 71‎ years.


Osa‎ graduated‎ from‎ Job‎ Corps-Cleveland‎ with‎ her‎ High‎ School‎ Diploma‎ and‎ Medical‎ Trade‎ Completion‎ Certificate.
She‎ went‎ on‎ to‎ serve‎ in‎ the‎ National‎ Guard‎ and‎ from‎ there‎ she‎ enlisted‎ in‎ the‎ Army.‎ Where‎ she‎ served‎ for‎ more‎ than‎ a‎ decade‎ as‎ a‎ Medical‎ Records‎ File‎ Clerk,‎ Patient‎ Administration‎ Specialist,‎ Finance‎ Specialist,‎ Sharp‎ Shooter/Sniper‎ and‎ MP‎ (military‎ police).‎ Osa‎ was‎ a‎ skilled,‎ Decorated‎ Marksman,‎ receiving‎ accolades‎ as‎ an‎ M-16‎ Rifle‎ Expert,‎ Hand‎ Grenade‎ Marksman‎ and‎ .38‎ Caliber‎ Pistol‎ Marksman.‎ She‎ received‎ the‎ Good‎ Conduct‎ Medal,‎ Army‎ Service‎ Ribbon‎ and‎ the‎ Overseas‎ Service‎ Ribbon‎ before‎ being‎ Honorably‎ Discharged‎ on‎ July‎ 25,‎ 1986.


Osa‎ returned‎ to‎ Ohio,‎ making‎ her‎ home‎ in‎ Hamilton.‎ Where‎ she‎ formed‎ some‎ everlasting‎ Sisterhoods‎ with‎ Denise‎ (Niecy)‎ Wright,‎ Ann‎ Smith,‎ Jean‎ Smith,‎ LeaRae‎ Jones,‎ Geraldine‎ (Gerri)‎ Dunson‎ and‎ Lucille‎ Mills.‎ Her‎ Sisters‎ for‎ life! Working‎ as‎ a‎ Certified‎ Nurses‎ Aid‎ until‎ her‎ retirement‎ in‎ 1986,‎ she‎ then‎ dedicated‎ her‎ days‎ to‎ her‎ children,‎ grandchildren‎ and‎ great-grandchildren‎ until‎ her‎ final‎ Sunset.‎ She‎ was‎ surrounded‎ by‎ 4‎ generations‎ of‎ her‎ family,‎ who‎ talked‎ with‎ her,‎ did‎ her‎ hair,‎ sang‎ to‎ her,‎ cried‎ over‎ her,‎ and‎ celebrated‎ her‎ life‎ that‎ entire‎ day‎ before.‎ She‎ gave‎ her‎ babygirl,‎ Sonsiere',‎ 20‎ extra‎ hrs.‎ with‎ her‎ as‎ she‎ sat‎ with‎ her‎ Mother,‎ holding‎ her‎ hand‎ and‎ never‎ leaving‎ her‎ side‎ until‎ she‎ took‎ her‎ last‎ breath‎ on‎ May‎ 25,‎ 2019‎ at‎ 11:55am.

Her Granddaughter, Osaretin Arlene La'Shelle Osaze'-King
And her Grandmother, Harriet Mae Allen of Middletown, OH.
Osa leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory; 
Her little sister, Darlene Saunders (Marilyn Kennerly) of Dayton, OH and only nephew David Barber
Her Aunt LaWana Richardson of Cincinnati, OH. 
Her Wife for Life, Emily Louise Blaine of Hamilton, OH. 
Her children; Pam, Carole, Danny and LeaRae
daughter, Mikyraa Kikiwa (Pam) Walker (Frank Walker)
daughter, Eusi Aina Farahi Osaze' known also as Carole Royal (Will Royal)
son, Daniel Montez Blaine
and daughter, Sonsiere' Leigh (LeaRae) Osaze’-Rogers (Conise R. Rogers).
13 Grand children, 29 Great-grand children with 2 more on the way. All of whom will miss their Sweetheart Grandma dearly. 
Along with a host of cousins and close friends whom she loved like family.

Osa's Sunset Memorial will be held at 2 pm on Saturday June 15, 2019 at 
Bethel Baptist Church 
414 South Eleventh Street 
Hamilton, OH 45011
