Mary Elizabeth Howard

Mary Howard was born in Lochgelly, West Virginia to the late John D. and Beulah Clintella McFarland. She was the oldest of fourteen children.   She departed this life on Monday, August 28, 2023. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tryan C. Howard; her brothers, John "Butch" Wilbur McFarland, Issac "Ike" McFarland, William "Bill" McFarland, Forrest "Fox" McFarland and twins, Jethro and Jeffrey McFarland; her sisters, Rhonda McFarland, Joyce McFarland and Gerlena "Gerl" McFarland and her grandchildren, Willie D. McFarland and Jasmine "NaN a" McFarland. 

Mary worked as a mail clerk for many years at Blue Cross and Blue Shield where she retired from. One of her favorite things were holidays where she would get in the kitchen and start cooking. She loved making her delicious pound cake and homemade dinner rolls. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Mary K. Reese, James A. Dotson, Deborah A. Howard, Erma J. Dotson and George E. Dotson Jr.; her grandchildren, Jason, Donnetta, Sharetta, Joshalyn and Greory McDaniel, Oliva, Kaneka, Chamarra and Rico Lattimore, Shai' ron, Samara, Scarlett and Kyi'Lyne; great grandchildren, RayShawn, Donesha and Elijah Farmer, Camryn J., Myron, Je'Nya, Deashyla, Kaydn,, Zoey, Khole, Levi, Cary, Kamryn and Dakota "Kota"; her great great grandchild, Miyana; her brothers, Terry McFarland and Kenneth McFarland; her sisters, Myra and Ronnie Stevens, Kathy and Al Chatfield and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
