Mariah Da’Ketta Denise Jones was born Mariah Dalketta Re'Ne Parrish on May 12, 1992 in Cincinnati, OH to Alvin E. Parrish and Carol F. Austin. At an early age, she became a part of St. Joseph Orphanage Foster Care in Cincinnati, OH. She was eventually adopted by Valerie D. (Jones) Gainey and relocated to Hamilton, OH.
She was educated in Hamilton and Fairfield City Schools. She studied Cosmetology at Empire Beauty School in Cincinnati, OH with plans to graduate in November with the class of 2022.
Mariah accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of Forever Changing Lives International Family Ministries, Hamilton, OH, under the Leadership of Elder Valerie D. (Jones) Gainey, Pastor. Mariah served as an usher, praise team leader, and praise dancer. During a fellowship meeting with Divine Praise and Worship Center then located in Cincinnati OH, under the leadership of Elder Anita B. Brown Pastor, Mariah was baptized by Elder Milton B. Gainey Sr.
She was industrious and was employed at Outback Steak House in Colerain Township. Mariah loved and adored her three daughters. She also enjoyed reading, writing, cooking, and styling hair. Mariah had an unwavering love for her birth mother. If Mariah loved you, she loved you and you knew she loved you because she would tell you. Mariah loved and enjoyed both sides of her families.
On Saturday, October 9, 2021, Mariah went home to be with the Lord. Heavens gain was our loss. She was preceded in death by her brother, Todd Austin and grandparents, James and Nettie Sowell.

(Jaden) Jones, Hamilton, OH, Aaron Morgan, Middletown, OH, Milton Bruce Gainey Jr., Junction City, KS; sisters, Nakesha M. Gainey, Dayton, OH, and Shelby A. Gainey, Huber Heights, OH; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
