Lessie Beatrice Caldwell

Lessie B. (Martin) Caldwell was born July 2, 1937 in Louisville, Mississippi. She was raised in
Dayton, Ohio. Lessie attended Kiser High School. She worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 35 years
in the central service department.
Lessie's talented gifts included success with interior design, gardening (her therapy) and hospitality.
She loved to travel and spend time with family especially on holidays.
Lessie was preceded in death by Naomi Martin, mother, George W. Henderson, brother and George
Andrew Caldwell Jr., her beloved husband.
She is survived by siblings, Hettie M. Martin, sister and Elmer D. (Antoinette) Martin, brother and
sister -in-law. Her children are Brenda Robinson, daughter, Eugene Bateman Jr., son and Judy
Bateman, daughter along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great
grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Lessie B. Caldwell left this world surrounded by love and entered into the peaceful love of God.
