Lawrence Kindred, Jr. Obituary

Lawrence Curtis “CC” Kindred Jr., age 48, unexpectedly and peacefully departed this life on December 25, 2020, at his Sharonville, OH home. He was born on Wednesday, August 23, 1972 in Middletown, OH. CC accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.

CC was born to the union of Mrs. Regina Mae (Purvis) Kindred and Mr. L.C Kindred, who were both loving and devoted parents. CC was the baby brother to Ms. Airiane Yvette Kindred and Ms. Christole Michelle Kindred-Lane. He was the big brother to Mr. Reginald Lewis Kindred.  He was a loving father to Lawrence Curtis Kindred III.

CC had a passion for anything and everything related to sports – whether he was participating in a game or watching as a bystander. While attending Middletown High School, CC played quarterback for the Middies. He was relentless and fearless as a competitor and was regarded as tough as nails by teammates and competitors alike.  CC was also an avid Michigan Wolverines football fan. Despite having a family full of Ohio State fans, year in and year out his support for Michigan never faltered.

Outside of sports, CC’s major hobbies were fishing and cooking. He loved to fish and often found peace, joy, and solace while doing so. CC had a talent for cooking and was considered to be a Master Chef by his family. He could cook all types of food but his favorite was barbecuing, which he learned from his father. When there was a family function, his nieces and nephews had one major question: “Is Uncle CC barbecuing?" No one wanted to miss out on his grilling magic. The love for his family shone through his memory of everyone’s favorite dish or preparation and his big smile as he delivered it.

CC had a strong, loving, and protective bond with his family, friends and those he loved. He was extremely loyal and trustworthy. His life was enriched with childhood friends, whom he trusted and loved like brothers. He regarded them as such until the end of time. CC had an infectious personality. He made a great impression and gained new friends wherever he went or worked. CC was loved unconditionally by his family and friends and will be missed by many. He had an immense passion for life. He lived his life as he wanted which was a life filled with zeal, zest, and fervor.

CC leaves to cherish his memory:  His loving & devoted parents, Regina and L.C; Son, Lawrence; Sisters, Yvette and Christole; Brother, Reggie and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
