She was the daughter of Phillip and Pamela Carter and Randolph Hamilton. She was born January 15, 1968 and was the oldest of three children. Lavette was educated in the Middletown School System and was a graduate of the class of 1987. After graduation, she held several jobs at restaurants and a nursing home.
Lavette accepted Christ at an early age and while she was married, she was an active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church with her husband. After his death, she returned home to Tried Stone Baptist Church. She loved her Tried Stone family; especially the Ministerial Staff.
Lavette always had a smile when she saw you and was well known by all she came in contact with. She visited all of the different churches and supported their programs.
