LaMarr “Chuckie’ Williams, Jr. was born on February 17, 1970, in Washington, DC, to LaMarr Williams, Sr., and Regina Williams Brooks. He departed this life on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Atrium Medical Center, Middletown, Ohio.
LaMarr attended Bethel A.M.E. Church, where he participated in Sunday School, Acolyte Ministry, and the Buds of Promise Youth Choir.
LaMarr was educated in the Middletown City Schools System graduating in 1989 from Lemon Monroe High School. While at Lemon Monroe, he was a member of the 1985-1989 Basketball teams. Following graduation, he attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Miami, Oklahoma, earning an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. He later attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. At Miami, the basketball team played in the NCAA tournament – which was a highlight of his basketball experience.
LaMarr was employed as a fork-lift operator at Pac World Corporation, Middletown, Ohio. He loved driving around and tooting his horn at his fellow employees. During his time at Pac World, he made many friends. Everyone who worked with him knew him as an outgoing, personable soul who loved to have a good time.
In 2012, LaMarr was joined in marriage with Tami DeBusk. He was a devoted, responsible spouse who loved his wife.
LaMarr was loved by all who knew him, affectionally known as the “gentle giant”. He enjoyed following Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. He loved playing video games and competing against his family and friends. He would always tell everyone what movie to watch and when a “good” movie was being released. He was a reliable presence of strength, devotion, and love for his family; a quiet leader and loyal friend. His loss will resonate for years to come in the lives of those who were honored to know him. To know him was to love him and we will miss his smile and sense of humor.
