La'Keisha Yvette Ball was born on August 28,1979 to Patricia Ball and Tony Couzens. She gained her wings on November 13, 2022. Those that knew her called her Keisha, Keish or Kay Ball.
A Dayton native, La'Keisha graduated from Trotwood High School in 1997, and attended the University of Cincinnati. She enjoyed being close to home and spending time with family and friends.
Keisha would glance at you with her head tilted, her voice would get really high pitched, she’d flash that beautiful smile and say something so hilarious that you couldn’t help but literally laugh out loud. If you ever spent time with her, you know that she was the life of the party. She had a great sense of humor, a unique way with words and a very lively spirit. Keisha had a serious side that always lent a listening, nonjudgmental ear to her loved ones. She would listen and "tell it like it is" as only she could.
La’Keisha was preceded in death by her father, Tony Couzens and her brother, Shawn Ball.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving son, Ke’Vaughn Dillard, who she affectionately called 'Keeman'; her mother, Patricia Ball-Powell, who was her rock; her stepfather, Joseph Powell; stepbrother, Joseph (Jo-Jo) Brown; stepsister, Tamica Collier; special cousins Ebony Lee and Dontae Smith that were like siblings; great cousin, Ja’Dae Beckham; ride or die friends Davina Clay, Jeanette Booker, Markita Knight and a host of relatives, friends and loved ones.
