Kenneth E. Calhoun, affectionately known as 'Kene,' was born June 23, 1961, in Dayton, Ohio to William E. Calhoun Sr., and Lula M. Calhoun.
He graduated from Patterson Co-Op High School in 1979 and went on to earn two degrees; an associate in business from Jackson College, in Jackson, MI; and a bachelor's in business administration, from the University of Toledo, OH in 1984. He earned Track and Field scholarships enabling him to attend college.
Kene was well known for his culinary skills; cooking for every family gathering, social events, and holidays.
He was proceeded in death by his father, William E. Calhoun, Sr., Grandparents Fred D. Calhoun and Louise Calhoun-Hancock, Dottie Calhoun, as well as Solomon and Lula B. Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother; Lula M. Calhoun; 3 brothers; William E. Calhoun, Jr., Rodney E. Calhoun, and Brian E. (Angie) Calhoun. Also here to celebrate his life are his uncles, Frederick D. Calhoun, Terry L. Hancock, Rory J. Calhoun all of Dayton, OH and Anthony D. Calhoun, of Henderson, NV; his aunts, Vickie (Bruce) Harris, of Lawton, OK; Billie H. Burns and Beatrice Smith both of Dayton, OH; host of other relatives and friends.
Kene was dearly loved; he was generous with his time- often spending his Sundays visiting with loved ones and sharing a meal. He fought a good fight from a health perspective and was blessed with a good life. He will always be remembered for the love he shared with all of us.
