Kanika Lee Johnson

Kanika was born July 22, 1980 in Middletown, Ohio. On August 29, 2020 Kanika Lee Johnson, a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and best friend to many, peacefully departed this life to be with the Lord at the age of 40. Kanika had a long battle with diabetes and many complications that she fought through. She fought with great strength and courage and had an infamous smile and mischievous spirit. Kanika loved every one of her family & friends dearly. Kanika was preceded in death by her father, Michael Eugene Briggs. She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving mother, Eugenia H. Johnson, of Midd., OH; two brothers Jelani Johnson (Nichelle) of Midd.,OH; and Kevin Briggs (Cori) of Cin.,OH; a sister Katie Geis (Michael) of Cin., OH; a loving stepmom, Marie Briggs-Williams (Alvis) of Cin.,OH; step siblings, Jonathon Leicht, Amber Williams (Dee), Frankie Williams (Rhonda), Brandon Williams (Alicia), loving aunts Dorothy Barnes (Jervy), Rose Johnson (Homer), and loving uncle Lee Holiday; dear friend Etta Bruce and a host of very loving nieces, nephews, cousins, nurses and friends.

The family will have flowers delivered to Donald Jordan Memorial Chapel by Friday, September 11th or donations in her name can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
