Joanne Love

Joanne Love was born on September 01, 1950, age 70, in Middletown, OH. She made her transition from earth to glory Friday, March 19, 2021.

Joanne was a loyal and enthusiastic member of New Era Baptist Church which she attended with her mother, Louise, and many other family members.   

Joanne enjoyed a successful career at Armco/IBM. She retired after more than 30 years of service.

Joanne loved sharing a meal with family at her mother's house. Feasting on her mother's delicious cooking was one of her favorite things to do. She also loved to shop and was the proud owner of many suits and pairs of shoes.

Joanne was easygoing, down-to-earth, and kept a positive attitude. She was a fun-loving jokester who always wore a smile. She always made you feel like she was happy to see you and would be quick to tell you if you were looking "sharp."  She could often be found greeting neighbors from her porch.

Joanne was preceded in death by her lifelong partner, Robert Sims Phillips (Bobby); her parents, Louise and Joseph M. Love; sister, Dianne Gamble; and brothers, Marvin Love and Donald Love.

Joanne leaves to cherish her loving memory: daughter, Temeika Love; sisters, Gloria Lewis and Chris (Rev. Dr. Andrew L.) Smith; nieces, Kizzy Watkins, Deonna Johnson and Tina (Joseph) Cozzens; nephews, Lamont Love, Jeremy Love, Patrick (Lawana) Levy and Skylar Gamble; sister-in-law, Ena Love; brother-in-law, Jerry Gamble; special friends, Bennie Buchanan, Etta Caver, Jovonne Banks, Pat Herndon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
