Harry Sims Truss, II

Harry Sims Truss, II age 53 of Middletown, OH was the eldest child of Harry Sr. and Melonese Truss.  Harry II was born on September 19, 1968 and departed this life on June 7, 2022.

Harry II graduated from Middletown Senior High School and went on to graduate from Warren County Career Center.  Harry II was employed with the US postal Service in Oxford, Ohio where he was a devoted worker for 32 years.  Harry II was the light of joy and smiles for of his coworkers.  He cherished each and every one of them.

Harry never met anyone that didn’t love his joyful personality.  In our seventeen years together, we explored so many places and feelings.  We enjoyed our walks, talks and going out to eat.  As anyone who knew him, knew he loved to eat at Fricker’s and loved his football teams; Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals.  He and his beloved friends could get together and watch the games.  I always rooted against the teams, and he would say, “Really Baby”.  I did it to annoy him, but he would say, “You will never annoy me, I love you MaWa” (one of the names he call me, our thing).

I am going to miss our Facetime calls and just everything about him.  He truly loved his children.  He gave his son, Gage the nickname “Fathead” and Gage would say he has the same size head, so he gets it honest.  With his bonus son, Shawn, they would say to each other, “Your Momma” and “Let you tell it”.

He was the joy of my life.  People often wonder why some don’t want anyone else after a spouse has passed on, well here is the answer.  When you find the best, there is no other that can compare, and I had the best and he will always be my one and only best friend and soulmate.  This is not goodbye; this is see you later.  Love you forever and always.  2 People + 2 Gether = 4 Ever.

Harry II was preceded in death by his step brother, Andre Davis.

Harry II leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Sheila Truss of 17 years; his daughter, Jadin Smith; his sons, Tommy Thompson, Gage Truss, and bonus son, Shawn Hughes; his grandson, Joseph Thompson; his parents, Melonese Truss and Harry (Lois) Truss Sr.; his sisters, Tara Truss, Sommer Truss, Tamara (Christopher) Evans; stepsister, Kendra Thomas; stepbrother, Ivan Wright; Godfather, Vernon Ford and his favorite niece, Skylar Johnson along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He will be sadly missed but never forgotten; his memory will live in our hearts forever.
