Gregory D. Hamilton was born on February 8th, 1945 to Gladys and Earl Hamilton in Loveland, Ohio. Gregory was the 4th child of 8 children. He was baptized at an early age.
Both his parents, one brother, two sisters and two children, Lisa and Gregory, Jr. preceded him in death.
After graduating from Loveland High School, he attended Central State College. Gregory joined the United States Military in 1967 with the 11th Armored Calvary, Black Horse Regiment. He served 17 months in Vietnam as a Staff Sergeant. He rose to the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Not only did he serve on active duty; he was also a Platoon Leader in the Ohio National Guard as a Tactical Officer where he trained junior officers. Gregory retired from the United States Army as a decorated Captain. While serving. Gregory Hamilton received The National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal. "HE PROUDLY SERVED"
Greg worked for General Motors in the assembly division in Norwood after leaving the military. He decided he wanted to more with the training he received. Greg became a supervisor at Stearns and Fosters. After leaving there he was hired as a supervisor at Ford motor company in Sharonville then Batavia until he retired.
Greg loved sports. He played basketball, baseball and softball. He loved fishing, hunting, bowling, horse racing and the thrill of a bet.
