Gloria better known as “Mema” was called home by our Lord on June 20, 2021. She was born on July 19, 1939, in Rockmart, Georgia to Roy Heard and Arness White Heard who preceded her in death.
Gloria graduated with her high school diploma from Matthews Consolidated School in Dallas Georgia. After moving to Cincinnati, Ohio she attended and graduated from Good Samaritan Hospital’s School of Radiologic Technology.
After earning her certification and licensure Gloria worked 36 years as an X-Ray Technician in the Special Procedure Surgery Unit at Jewish Hospital. Gloria was viewed as a hardworking dedicated employee. She was also an extremely accomplished seamstress, which she genuinely enjoyed.
She was a dedicated servant of the Lord and loved her church, Macedonia Living Word Fellowship, where she was initially the pianist for the Rose Bud Choir, an usher, a member of the prison ministry and later a Greeter. Gloria was a loyal member and spent countless hours dedicated to studying the Bible. She genuinely loved the Lord and her family! Gloria believed in giving and gave beyond the church to those in need around the world.
Gloria is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela Tribble-Phillips; son-in-law Anthony Phillips; three grandchildren, Anthony Phillips Jr., Kendal Phillips, and Madison (Maddie) Phillips; brothers, Jimmy Heard (Carolyn), Sam Heard (Fran) and Donald Heard (Patricia); sisters, Lennell Hill, Mae Kemp and Corrine McClure; sister-in-law, Annie White and brother-in-law, Ulysses Thomas along with a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
