Gilbert H. Jackson was born on January 20, 1961 in Jasper, Alabama to Henry Jackson Sr. and Mary Ida Jackson. He departed this life on August 11, 2023.
Gilbert confessed Christ as the Lord of his life at an early age and joined Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of his parents.
He graduated from Garfield High School in 1979 in Hamilton, Ohio. He later retired from Bilstein.
Joyous by nature, and having a knack for dancing, Mr. Jackson seldomly met a stranger. Loved ones attest to his dependability. If Gilbert gave someone his word, he stood on it. Offering his labor of love as a willing vessel to his family, the only way he wouldn't show up is if he couldn't. And if he were unable to repair a car, he'd at least be able to identify the problem for you. One of the nicest and easy-going men one could encounter, Gilbert "Jug" Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Jackson Sr. and his granddaughter, Jasire Knight.
He leaves a living legacy behind to treasure: son, Carlos Knight; three daughters, Jalonda Knight, Karisa Jackson and India Jackson; grandchildren, Zion Knight, Jayden Jackson, Ronni Robinson, Elijah Knight and JaJuan Rice; great-grand daughter, Kae'mony Jackson; mother, Mary Jackson; sisters, Candace Jones and Nikki Robinson; brothers, Henry Jr (Zipporah) Jackson, Brian (Nancy) Jackson and Henry (Raquel) Printup; his loving partner, Christeen Roberson along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who he truly loved dearly.
