George Richard King

George “Richard” King, 69 years of age, passed on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022, at his home in Columbus, Ohio. Richard was born April 22nd, 1953, in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Thomas and Corine (Hughes) King. He was educated in the Hamilton City School System in Hamilton, Ohio.

After high school, Richard attended Cincinnati Technical School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Even when his health began to fail, Richard took care of his family. He was a loving and dutiful husband, father, son, and brother. Richard retired as a Stationary Engineer, at the Chase Bank Campus in Westerville Ohio. He loved his wife Christa, his children, Richard “Christopher” King, Brandon King, Amber King,  Jordan King, and his grandsons Kingsten and Josiah Lee.  Richard loved to fish and barbecue. Richard was a fun, loving person who loved to tease.

Richard leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife Christa King of 39 years, his children, Richard “Christopher” King, Brandon King, Amber King,  Jordan King, and grandchildren Kingsten Lamar Lee and Josiah Lee. all of Columbus Ohio; his brother, Thomas (Debra) King Jr, of Forest Park, Ohio, and his sister-n-laws, Crystal Baus, Barbara King, and Missy Adelsperger. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and family.

Richard went to join his parents, Thomas King Sr. and Corine King; his sisters, Cora Bell Hughes, and Diane King; his brothers, Ernest King, and Charles King, and his brother-in-law Steven Adelsperger, his maternal grandmother, Rose Hughes,  maternal aunt, Mary Hughes, his paternal aunts, Ida Hushaw, Sara King, Minnie King Crowe, Mariah King McBurse, and Viola King Pitts, and paternal uncle O.C. King.
