Franklin Hart Obituary

Franklin’s Life’s Journey

Franklin D. Hart was born January 25, 1938 in Tuskegee, Alabama to the late Roosevelt and Addie (Morgan) Hart. The family moved to Middletown, Ohio when Dee was a young man. Franklin served in the United States Army Reserve at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, 1956.

Franklin retired from AK Steel, formerly Armco, where he worked on the railroad as a Train operator for 35 years. He also proudly owned his own trucking business, in which he also operated for 35 years.

A very mild tempered, loving man who is always happy. Dee loved to travel and take cruises. His favorite pastime was to sit on the porch and listen to his music. He was always telling jokes. Dee and I shared many life experiences, travel and were genuine companions until his final breath. He was a member of New Era Baptist Church.

Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: James, Robert, and Albert Hart.

Franklin leaves his bright memories to be cherished by his loving and devoted wife Geraldine Hart, one son Franklin D. Hart Jr., of Middletown, Ohio, a daughter Deborah (Donell) Hagans of Jacksonville, Florida, granddaughter Heather Hart, 2 great-grandsons: Isaiah Barrick and Etembe Hart, special sister-in-law Lorain Hart, special niece Yolanda Hart, and special nephew Robert Hart Jr., special step-son Kevin (Carolyn) Patton, 2 step-grandsons: Cameron and Kelvin, Jr., step granddaughter Lorain Patton, 2 step daughters Gerayee(Jermaine) Richards Teri Mack, 4 step-sons, Victor Rhem, Elder Ricardo (Jacqueline) Smith, Jerome Smith, and Gerald Mack, cousins Joe Morgan, Bob Hart, Melvin Hart, Michael Hart, Gregory Hart, Jean Penny of Alabama, Geraldine Turk of Georgia, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends in Middletown, Ohio.

“Dee will always be in my heart- like a branch is to a tree. I thank God for blessing me with a good man and husband,

I LOVE YOU MY DADDY-O FOREVER

From his loving and devoted wife -----Geraldine Hart
