Flossie Mae Geralds

Flossie Mae Geralds (nee Strayhorn) was born July 24, 1936 to Aaron and Charlotte Strayhorn in Cincinnati, OH. In 1958, Flossie married Sammie Lee Geralds who departed this life on July 11, 2011. This year would have remarked 61 years of marriage. To this union one son was born, Roderick Geralds.

Flossie was the Assistant Manager, Bar Maid and Listening Ear at the Perkins Lounge in Evanston, OH.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Flossie leaves to cherish her memory; her son, Roderick; grandsons, Antwan, Roderick, Jr. and Robert; her sisters, Sadie and Mary; twin brothers, Aaron and Ernest; a special great niece whom she raised for the past ten years and really became her child, Skylar Jalony Tyus (Gina’s birth child) along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
