Eric Duane Collins

Mr. Eric D. Collins, age 55, went home with the Lord unexpectedly on August 2, 2022.  He was born at Miami Valley Hospital on July 26, 1967 to Edward L. Stallworth, Jr., and the late Saundra L. Collins.  Eric was a lifelong resident of Dayton, Ohio where he attended and graduated from Belmont High School class of 1985.  After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy receiving an honorable discharge.  He was employed at LKQ Pick Your Part for the last five years until his passing.  Preceding him in death by his mother, Saundra L. Collins, a sister Delicias Stallworth. 

Eric was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to all that knew him.  He loved spending time with his family and friends and all who knew and adored him.  Affectionately known as “Big E’, he was known for his comical side.  He was an avid sports fan often enjoying the games of his favorite football team the Cleveland Browns.  He loved and enjoyed fishing and would often post his catch of the day on his social media pages.  He enjoyed cars and motorcycles and would spend time at Kil-Kare Raceway in Xenia, Ohio.

Eric will surely be missed especially by those who knew him and will cherish his memories.  A devoted father, Edward L. Stallworth Jr. (Dowana); The love of his life and devoted spouse, Johnnie Russell-Collins.  His precious daughters who he adored, De’Era Collins and Dynasti Collins; two stepdaughters who he loved as if they were his very own; Crishea Jones (Jennifer) and Alaska Richardson (Don).  His dear & devoted sisters, Marsita Williams (Johnnie Jr.), Dequita Simpson, D’Antionette Simpson, Detoshia Stallworth, Dowan Moore, Lastanna Wilson, Cassandra Johnson, and Gail Fitzgeral (Lemanuel)); a brother, Edward D. Stallworth; special nephews, Terrence Collins (Buck), Edward D. “Bang Bang” Stallworth Jr., and De’Marcus ”Hoss” Norvell; grandchildren, Donte’ Fisher, Jr. and Dalena Fisher; special friends, Jerry Gentry, Kenny Spears, Dale Smith, Tavio James and Anthony Owensby.  A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and other relatives who loved him dearly
