Ellison Henry Landers II affectionately known as Rickie of Dayton, Ohio was born September 8, 1959 in Magnolia, Arkansas to Ulessie and Ellison Landers.
He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He attended Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ at the time of his passing. He attended Irving Elementary and Dayton Christian Academy. After high school, Ellison joined the United States Army.
Ellison was a humbled and loving person. He was very understanding, and you could look at him as a father even though he wasn’t your father. He always kept a smile on other’s face; he was someone you wanted to be around all the time. He enjoyed sports and karate movies. Growing up with him was always adventurous and never a dull moment.
He was a man of many words and understood every situation. He was devoted to his family. No matter how old he was, his sisters and mother always referred to him as their little baby brother. Ellison was more than just a father to his two daughters; he was their hero.
He was a laid back type of man and would always try to fix everyone’s problem and loved to just keep the peace. Ellison’s childhood nick name given to him by his mother was “Ricko Renis”.
On June 19, 2022, Ellison received a call from the angels requesting his presence to join his parents, his three sons, Aaron, Eric and Derrick Landers along with his great niece, Ja’Vena Scroufe to be with the Heavenly Father.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories: his wife, Sharrita Landers; son, Ellison (Andrea) Landers III; two daughters, Sharrekha (Allen) Whitmore and Latoria Landers along with her mother, Shirley Hazim who mothered three of his loving children; his beautiful and loving sisters, BeLonyddria Morton, Winder (Laurence) Morgan and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family members and friends.
