Eldora Jones Obituary

Eldora Rose Hunt Jones, 90, of Dayton, Ohio, transitioned to her heavenly home on February 19, 2021. Eldora was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on September 17, 1930, to John and Margaret Hunt.   She moved to Dayton, Ohio after high school graduation.  She was a devoted member of Corinthian Baptist Church.  Eldora had fond memories of working at Donenfeld’s, McCall’s Printing Company and Good Samaritan Hospital where she met her husband Ernest W. Family was important to Eldora; she rarely missed a Hunt family reunion. Eldora loved tending to her flowers, especially Hydrangeas.  She was the queen of giving and collecting Hallmark cards.  As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she sought out opportunities every day to bless others. Her acts of random kindness stretched across generations.
She was preceded in death by parents John and Margaret Hunt; her husband, Ernest Webster Jones; sisters, Mary Elliot and Ann Rogers; brothers, Clell Hunt, Jewel Hunt, and John Hunt; friends and devoted sisters-in-law, Mildred Jones and Julia Hunt; Daughter, Elaine Jones Frierson.
