Dorothy Hunter Conley

Dorothy Elizabeth Hunter Conley was born on April 6, 1934 in Greensboro, Alabama to Joel and Lucille Hunter. 

Dorothy was employed with the Social Security Administration until her retirement. She was a faithful member of New Era Baptist Church where she held various positions and served on many auxiliaries. “DH” as she was affectionately called by her husband, loved on-line shopping before it became known technically as on-line shopping. She held herself as a noble woman of God with class and elegance. The way she walked with confidence and sophistication showed her boldness and certainty. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, four brothers and a niece. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and faithful husband Freddie Conley, four step-sons: Freddie Conley Jr., Dwayne Conley (Sharelle), Anthony Silas (Yvette), and Thomas Conley, one step-daughter Valerie Conley-Cephas (Oliver), 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, a special niece Rosina Hughley, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
