Denise Jackson, age 52 of Dayton, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020. She was born on September 17, 1968 to the late Betty Jackson and Carl Dunlap.

Denise grew up in the Dayton area and was a member of Sunlight Baptist Church. She was an active member and participated in the church choir and as a junior usher. Denise’s passion was to help people, which was reflected in her career path. At the age of 21, she graduated with an Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting. Denise pursued a career in health care, which included a focus on nutrition and home health care. Her nurturing spirit was most obvious in her favorite role, which was being a mother. Denise welcomed her daughter, Courtney, in 1990 and gave birth to her son, Corey, in 2004. Outside of her role as mom, Denise volunteered her time at the Goodwill Easter Seals in the Radio Reading Room. She was also an avid fan of reading, music, film, and dancing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nobie Jackson, and aunt, DeLois Brown.

Denise will be missed by her loving children; Courtney and Corey Jackson; a host of cousins; godchildren and dear friends.
