Deneen Darcell Demmings

On August 29,2021 God whispered to Ms. Deneen D. Demmings (61 ) and said “my child I started preparing a place for you where there will be NO Monday, Wednesday, Friday dialysis. No sickness, no pain, no medicine, no bills, and no heartaches. You can even eat all the cornstarch, salt your heart desires, and the biggest bonus will be BINGO. Last but not least my beautiful child, a job well done!"

Preceded in death by parents L.V. and Helen Louise Demmings. Son Joseph Slater, Brother Eric Jody Demmings, Nephew Phillip M. Demmings, and Niece Victoria Demmings.

She leaves to mourn one of a kind son Brian (Crystal Johnson) Demmings and two bonus daughters Malaika and Joy Slater. Three loving and caring granddaughters Briana, Diamond, and Mya Demmings. One devoted, most favorite grandson Brian Demmings Jr. Two beautiful great granddaughters Lauren and Lyric Adams. Two joyful and handsome great-grandsons Prince (PJ), Antonio (AJ),and with another on the way Baby Legend. Two caring brothers Phillip(Lonnie) and Jeffrey(Tawana)Demmings. One and only amazing sister Lashanda Jones and a special nephew Jeff Demmings Jr. A wonderful sponsee/bestfriend Pam Gregory and Jeana Penson. Two bingo partners/cousins Vicki Gadd, Crystal Clemmons, and last but surely not least a supportive Alvena Williams.

February 2008 Deneen’s life changed as to where she accepted Christ, the ability to become sober and drug free with the help of Women’s recovery. Deneen worked with Green Inc before her health started to fail. On her free time Deneen loved hanging out with family, friends, and keeping everybody up on the latest gossip. Deneen was truly the glue of the Demmings family and she will truly be missed.
