Obituary
Darrell Fernando Montaie, son of Helen Shealey and Jerome Harry Montaie was born December 15, 1955 in Middletown, OH. He was called from labor to reward on April 5, 2022 at home.
Darrell "Tinky" Montaie attended Middletown City Schools and worked various jobs. He retired as a correctional officer from the State of Ohio. He was recently employed by Miami Valley Gaming.
Tinky loved to spend time with family, cook, fish, keeping up with sports and really loved to dance.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Shealey; father, Jerome Harry Montaie; grandparents, Edward and Theresa Aldridge; brother, Anthony Montaie; uncle, Howard "Bope" Aldridge and aunt, Tressi Aldridge.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 46 years, Michele R. Montaie; three sons, Darrell D. (Audrey) Montaie, Fernando T. Montaie and Shavey Brown; two daughters, Lashonda R. Montaie and Sharde Brown; three grandchildren, Xavier Montaie, Octavia Montaie and Brandon Sierra; four brothers, Vanskie (Cassandra) Montaie, Dexter Montaie, Cedric Morgan and Jerry Conditt; special friend, Joel Fuller along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
