Obituary

Darlene Dean, age 68 was born August 1, 1955 in Daytin Ohio to the late E. Augustus Debraux and Clara P. Stringer. She departed this earthly life on September 4, 2023 to be with her Lord and Savior.

She graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1975. Darlene was a faithful member of Church of the Good Shepherd under  the leadership of Pastor Evelyn Harbut for many years. It’s here where she was an ordained minister, sung in the choir and served as a faithful usher.

Darlene later joined First Light Church under the leadership of Pastor David Starry. She was a willing worker and served wherever she was needed. Darlene loved the Lord! She was known to praise him with the tambourine and a dance.

She loved working to care for kids, small groups and being in classics. She loved putting together puzzles no matter the count, reading the word and most of all she loved her children and grandchildren.

Darlene was preceded in death by both parents, E. Augustus Debraux and Clara P. Stringer; her dearest daughter, Angela L. Debraux and four brothers, Eugene Debraux Jr., Carter Debraux, Michael Debraux, and Jonathan Debraux.

She leaves behind her husband, Edward Dean; two beloved sons, Keith L. (Veronica) Debraux and Jesse A. (Robin) Mitchell; devoted daughter, Chauncia L.L. Snowden; two sisters, Veronica Debraux and Jacqueline Dobson; two brothers, David Debraux and Alvin Debraux; honorary sister, Diane Shafer; honorary amiga, Lois Crawford; twenty-one grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
