She retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1992 but her career expanded from Defense Electronics Supply Center, Rockwell International, Wright-Patterson AFB, the Veterans Administration and the City of Dayton.

Carolyn lived her life with a strong sense of faith, truth, and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. Her passion and delights were entertaining family and friends at holiday dinners and summer gatherings. She was a generous person and enjoyed blessing all with what she had. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother (Nana), great grandmother and friend to many. She personally customized crocheted baby afghans for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her famous greeting, “YooHoo”, that she and special friends shared upon their arrival, is still heard and will be continued among family and friends. She enjoyed researching everything from history, world events to nutrition and beyond. She loved playing competitive bridge with friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Daniels; brothers: Garfield Fox, Jr., and Carlos Brannon Fox; and niece, Karen Fox Murphy. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters: Melodee Thomas (Samuel) and Marjorie Turner (Michael); cherished grandchildren: Meika Madison (Robert), Anik Lee (Courtney), Warren Thomas (Raquel), Michael Turner and Matthew Turner.
