Bobbie Jean Grant-Minor, was born January1, 1955 in Turrell, Arkansas to the union of the late Nellie & E.C. Grant.
She received her early education in Arkansas before moving to Ohio where she continued her high school education. After high school she moved to Michigan where she was married to Larry Minor and a son was born to that union.
Bobby Jean worked as a cook, and yes, she loved to cook. Also she worked in the healthcare field, where she showed love and kindness to the people she provided service for and general labor for Pella Window and Doors.
Bobby Jean never met a stranger, she was different and unique from others, with her stylish ways, when you saw her she would be sugar sharp from head to toe. She was loving, kind and gentle. She had a smile that will light up a room when she entered.
Bobbie Jean received her wings when she answered God’s call on the evening of December 1, 2019. She is preceded in death by both parents, two brothers Ozell Carter and Clarence Grant, one sister Urlene Russell and her beloved son Marvin Grant.
Bobby Jean leaves to cherish her memory two son’s Larry Minor and Ronald Stringer both of Hamilton, Ohio, two brothers Robert Kimbrough of West Memphis, TN and Clyde Grant of Cincinnati, OH, aunt Lula Kimble of Hamilton, OH, one granddaughter McKenzie McGuire and three grandsons Thai McCowan, Larry Minor and Nakshaun Lovett, her childhood friend Carolyn White-Tyler, special friends Michelle Collins, Tabatha Johnson and Collette Keith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
