Arthur W. Jordan, Jr., age 69, departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Arthur was born on June 14, 1952 to the late Arthur W. Jordan, Sr. and Mae E. Jordan.
Arthur graduated from Menaul High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He received a full scholarship to the University of New Mexico. Arthur pursued his education by attending Middletown MMU, Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and received his Associate Degree from Sawyer Business College and was proud to be a licensed auctioneer. He was a United States Army veteran and received many awards. He retired from the Veterans Administration Dayton, Ohio after 36 years.
Arthur was well known and well liked wherever he went, and he deeply loved and cared for his family and friends. Arthur was a member of Bethel AME Church, Middletown, Ohio where he sang in the male chorus. He was an avid outdoorsman and was hopelessly addicted to "coon" hunting.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Onydrea Gragg-Davis; brother-in-law, Thomas Davis; nephew, Jamie Mills; nieces and Destiny Mills and Brooke Simmons and nephew, Chris Parks.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, Darrell Jordan (Katrina), Arthur W. Jordan, III (Casandra), Ryan T. Jordan (Stacey); daughter, Roberta Jordan; and his two youngest children, Benjamin L. Jordan and Akasha R.M.B. Jordan and their mother Rozina Smith; ten grand-children; two great grandchildren; a special little "buddy" Quadare Doakes; sisters, Rena Z. Jordan, Paula Carter (Ronald), Donna Payne (James, Jr.), Carolyn Hammonds (Michael Jr.) and Beverly; brothers, Dr. Gregory Jordan, Jason (Tara); special, dedicated aunt, Katheryn Burks; aunts, Catherine Johnson, Delores Tyson, Mary Jordan, Katherine Jordan and Linda Jordan; special niece and nephew, Valeria Parks and Allen "JR" Gragg; devoted cousin, Marlene Coleman and cousin/brother, Robert M. Jordan who he loved dearly and a host of other relatives and friends including Jocelyn "Pinky" Jordan.
