Angela Gray Obituary

Angela "Angie" Diane Pearson-Gray was born on May 25, 1960, to the late Cedell and Ollie Mae Pearson in West Carrollton, Ohio, making her the youngest of three daughters.

As a young child, Angela and her family became members of New Era Baptist Church in Middletown, Ohio, under the late S.S. Cousins. Later, she became a member of United Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Gregory Tyus in Middletown, Ohio.

Angela graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1978, becoming the school's first African American member of the band's drill team. She graduated from Spelman College with a degree in Early Childhood Education in 1982.

She dedicated many years of her career to Huntington Bank as a bank teller and bank manager. She also worked as Director of Development at Mary Scott Nursing Home in Dayton, Ohio. Later, she worked at DA TV as an interviewer for local news events in Dayton, Ohio.

Angela loved God with all of her heart and currently attended the Dayton Vineyard Church in Beavercreek, Ohio, where she loved and adored her fellow church members.

Angie never met a stranger; her kindness, infectious laugh, and positivity will surely be missed.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Taylor Gray (Bellbrook, Ohio), and Spencer Gray (Centennial, Colorado); sisters, Cynthia Pearson-Cross (Wayne, Michigan), and Marta Pearson-Troutman (Stone Mountain, Georgia); nephews, Charles "Chuck" Cross, Michael Troutman (Stone Mountain, Georgia), Bryant Troutman (Stone Mountain, Georgia); and niece, Michelle Cross Lyew (Wayne, Michigan). Angela also leaves behind a dear "sister friend," Sherry Smith, who was holding her hand when she made her transition into glory as well as a host of family and friends to cherish her memory.
