Aaron Eugene Barnett, 59 of Dayton, Ohio passed away September 14, 2021. He was born July 18,1962 in Union, South Carolina. Aaron was the son of Lipscome Littlejohn and Helen Ruth Barnett- Farr. Aaron was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, friend, and much more. To his grandkids he was Paw Paw, to his kids he was dad, to his nieces and nephews he was Uncle Aaron, and to his friends he was “Country or Double A”. Aaron had one rule when it came to his grandkids. He would not hold a newborn until the baby was able to support their body by themselves. To his kids this was a challenge. His kids would sit the baby on his lap and quickly walk away. Immediately he would yell at them “GET THIS BABY OFF MY LAP!” Aaron valued his family. If days went by without him hearing from or seeing his loved ones, he would kindly remind them that his belt would be waiting for them. Aaron’s slogan for his children was “what’s my name?” The kids would reply “Aaron E. Barnett, Aaron would respond “what’s the E for?” The kids would say “everlasting love and for how long forever and a day.” Aaron was a U.S Army veteran; served nine years after enlisting in 1982 he served in Desert Storm. As a supply specialist he received; 3 Good conduct medals 2 Non-commissioned officer professional development ribbons 2 Overseas service ribbon Army service ribbon M16 marksmanship badge, an air assault badge Army commendation medal. He served from the Desert Storm to Fort Campbell, Ky. Aaron was a deacon of New Beginnings Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Ruth Barnett Farr and his brother, Charles Farr. He lives to cherish his memory his wife of 27 years Susan Dorsey Barnett; his father, Lipscome Littlejohn; children, Markus (Alexandria), DeAndre (Ebony), Joe, Donisea, Leeshawn (Antonae), Ayriona, Jay B, Aaron, Kevin Dorsey, Darion and Aaron Barnett; siblings, Alice Ann Million, James Edward Barnett, Willie (Dayna) Farr, Connie Parson, James Barnett, Lashawn Littlejohn, Frank Farr, Ester, Mark, Tim, Hosea, Rachel, and Anna Woods; Aunt Naomi Russi and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Aaron was the glue that kept the family together and we will continue to stay solid.
