It is with profound sadness that the Tarpeh family announces the sudden passing of Elijah J. Tarpeh. He was the beloved director of Innovative Education Liberia (IEL) and former national president of the Sinoe County Association in the Americas (SCAA). Elijah passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2017. The loss is enormous for family, friends, and the IEL team. Elijah was the pillar in his family and a father figure to countless nieces and nephews.
Elijah's memory and legacy will be cherished by his wife, Diana Fitzgerald; children, Presley J. Tarpeh and Anastasia Tarpeh-Ellis (Maurice A. Ellis); granddaughter, Saniyah S. Tarpeh; siblings, Lucy Freeman, John Tarpeh (Gmasnoh Tarpeh) and Agnes Dancause; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Elijah was preceded in death by his parents Joseph K. Tarpeh and Anna Snohdoe, his sister Susannah Tarpeh and his niece Drusilla Armah (Tarpeh).
