Sarah M. Jones

Sarah M. Jones was born on June 18, 1932 to the union of Jimmie L. and Arlevia (Nelson) Reynolds.  Sarah told her family she was tired of being sick and in pain. On Tuesday morning November 26, 2019, the Lord answered Sarah’s prayers and took her home to be with him. For this we are ever so thankful and grateful, for she is resting in the arms of our Heavenly Father, rejoicing.

Sarah was born and raised in Fitzpatrick, Bullock County, Alabama.  Sarah was united in holy matrimony to Willie James Jones, Sr.  She and her family later moved from Fitzpatrick, AL to Hamilton, OH.

In her pastime, she enjoyed cooking, fishing, her flower garden, going shopping and loved going out to dinner with family and friends. She also, enjoyed her grandchildren and family visiting her. 

Sarah was a faithful member of Pilgrim Baptist Church until her health started failing.  She was a member of the Gospel Chorus.   

Sarah was preceded in death by: her parents, Jimmie and Arlevia Reynolds; her husband, Willie J. Jones, Sr.; three sisters, Eula Mae Reynolds, Christana Gamble and Anna Mae Jones; one brother, B.J. Reynolds; eleven other brothers and sisters;  and one son, Lawrence Jones.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children born of her union with Willie J. Jones, Sr.; Elizabeth, Willie, Jr., Jimmie (Acquanetta) and Wilma Jones-Wright; her grandchildren, D’Artis Jones, Kenyatta Brown, Jimmie L. Jones, Jr. and  Tejani Wright; great grandchildren, Tevin, Aubrei, A’daira and Ayden Jones, Brownell Strong, Brea McConnell, Tianna McConnell and Myles Watson; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Sarah will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
