Leemon S. Baker, III, also known as “Butch”, age 70, of Trotwood, Ohio, but more known as to be from Jefferson Township, Ohio, was called home on Friday afternoon, July 26, 2019 at the Miami Valley Hospital.
Leemon was born on March 8, 1949 to Leemon S. Baker, Jr. and Sarah Wilson. After attending Jefferson High School, “Butch” proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. He retired from the Dayton VA and enjoyed watching westerns, the Carolina Panthers, and WNBA Basketball. Leemon loved showing love and never had a problem expressing such.
Leemon was preceded in death by his father, the late Leemon S. Baker, Jr.; two of his sisters, Bonnie Parish and Shirley Lawson; and his brother, Sheridan Baker.
Leemon is survived by his mother, Sarah Williams; his fiance, Jonna Sawyer; extended children, Tim Sawyer, Antonia Sawyer, Jasai Sawyer, Jeremy White, and Jamaica White; his sons, Stephen Baker and Ryan Gibson; four grandsons, Stephen Baker, Jr., KeOndre Baker, Katon Baker, and Stephon Baker; sisters, Barbara Beall, Dianna Ricks, and Sharon D. Baker; brother, Charlse Geary, and his extended family, Ashley Gibson and her children and Dawn Gibson and her children, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
