Kathy M. Lewis (Wells) was born on June 26, 1960 to the union of Charles and JoAnne Blair. Kathy earned her Heavenly wings on August 12, 2019. Kathy was a believer and confessed Christ at an early age. She renewed her faith when she was baptized at New Friendship Baptist Church. Kathy was affectionately known as “Phatkat” to her family and friends. She was a free spirit and adored by many. She was the “cool” one and the life of the party. She was also quick witted and a slick talker. As a young girl she loved to dance and do hair. She especially loved playing school with her younger sister and niece, instilling a lot of education. Kathy fought her way through some tough battles throughout her life. She always persevered, never stopped praying, and never lost her faith. She proved she was a survivor. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and JoAnne Blair; four brothers, Gary, Orville, Timothy, and Michael Blair; two sisters, Connie and Robbie Blair; and two grandchildren, Dior and Don’Kyrie Smith. Kathy leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Raymond Wells; her two daughters, Teniesha Smith (Donald) and Fredresha Blair; three grandsons, Ty’Aun Blair, Tevari Thomas, and Don’Ye Smith; three siblings, Ann Clements, Myron Blair (Shirley), and Deborah Johnson; two special friends, Joann Erkins and Steve Brooks. She also leaves to cherish her memory, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
