Jessie Hopson

Jessie Hopson, age 91, transitioned into eternal life at Drake Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio on Monday, April 8, 2019. Jessie was born January 5, 1928 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He retired from the City of Oakwood after 35 years of service. Jessie was a devoted member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Maggie Brim Hopson, his wife Louvenia Hopson and 13 brothers and sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son Gregory E. Hopson, Grandson Jason G. Hopson (Terria Brown), four great grandchildren Jay’Cianah Hopson, Jamarr Porter-Hopson, Kenli-Rose Sumlin and Journee Hopson all of Dayton, Ohio; brother J. P. Hopson and sister Anna Belle Ivory of Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

He also leaves special extended family Deana Banks and her children Constance, Yvonne and Melvin; devoted niece and nephews Donna Davis, Michael Hopson and Minister Richard Hopson; special family friend Quindella Lynch and a host of other family and friends.
