Jennifer Lynne (Watson) Calhoun was born June 14, 1960 to Alvin and Ruby Watson in Middletown, Ohio. She received her heavenly wings on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2019 at The Atrium Medical Center.
Jennifer was a kind, caring, and giving person, who loved life and her family. She was a people person with an infectious smile. She was the epitome of a Strong Christian Woman, bearing her infirmities with grace and courage. She never let her difficulties slow her down. She was adamant about the ministry of helps. According to "Jen Jen" 'she was the original Uber/Lyft driver'. Jennifer was a true missionary. She faithfully called the sick and shut in weekly for years. She had a smile for everyone she met, no matter what she was going through. At New Era, Jennifer sang in the choir, worked tirelessly with the missionaries, and was a part of the nurse ministry and pastoral aide.
Jennifer was a product of the Middletown City Schools District, graduating in 1979. She was an active participant in Class Activities, including making the trip to Cocoa, Florida with the class. Jennifer worked at the Former Barbara Park Nursing facility for over 25 years and her last place of employment was Hospice of Middletown. She felt she was called to minister to and care for the elderly and many looked forward to spending time with Jennifer.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ruby Watson; her brother, Keith, her sisters, Pamela and Debra; her nephew, Ryan; and her cousin, Abell Fuller, Jr.
Neko, was her pride and joy and she named him ‘Little Feet'. He changed her thinking about kids. He stole her heart as did her other nieces and nephews. Jennifer leaves to cherish her memory; her twin- Jeffery; sister- Marcia; nieces and nephews, Tunisha, Roderick, and Julius; great nieces and nephews, Juliauna, Alexis, and Anthony; and a host of other family.
