Jacqueline Pope Obituary

Jacqueline Ann Pope, age 65, was born January 5, 1954 in Richmond, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents Emma Anna Louise Pope and John Wayne Pope, brother Parrish (Beaver) Pope, grandson Kendrick J. Pope, honorary sister Cathy L. Childs. She passed away peacefully on August 26, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jacqueline has been a native of Dayton, Ohio for over 40 years. She worked different jobs as she adapted to her new journey from working in daycare centers to bus aid for Miami Valley Child Development to holding custodial positions at different companies including Emory and her last position at Georgetown Village. She was a loving person that offered her advice, ear and shoulder to cry when needed. She was that one Auntie that was full of spunk & sass. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, coloring and sitting outside listening to nature and fresh air. She also loved her dog Millione (Mills) and enjoyed partying.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Kenya Pope; sisters Deborah Pope, Thedda Pope, Vivian (Marvin) Walker; brother John Wayne Pope all from Richmond, Indiana; grandchildren Kendrah, Draeh (DJ), AnDraeh and Draeana; great-grandchildren Mahalla, Dominique Jr., Jarhyia and Dallas; honorary sisters Cornelia (Ladybug) Scott and Harriett Moore; honorary son Alvin Few and her best friends Shatina Smalls and Tameka Henderson.

Friendship is not a matter of distance, but a matter of heart. Family is not a matter of blood, but a matter of loving and loved.
