Ethel V. Nash

Mrs. Ethel V. Nash was born December 25, 1928 in Pike County, Alabama to the late Sanive and Joe Nathan Wilson. She departed this life on October 16, 2019. Ethel was educated in the Pike County School System. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Spring Hill, Alabama.

Ethel later made her home in Cincinnati, Ohio where she became a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and then later found a home at Rockdale Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Stanford L. Vinson. Soon after, she united in Holy Matrimony to Henry Nash who preceded her in death. Ethel was a member of the Eastern Star and many boards in the church. Ethel did not give birth to any of her own children but she was an Auntie to many of her nieces and nephews.

She leaves to cherish her memory Jackie Guerrant who she raised as her own daughter, Jason Wilson as her grandson, six great grandchildren; Tylee, Asia, Alana, Antwan, Anthony and Carrie, seven great-great grandchildren Tyara, Jasia, Tyleah, LaShyia, Jayden, Xavier and Anavaya; her sister Betty Montero of New York, Auther Lee Wilson of Alabama; her stepchildren and sister-in-law Else Love and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who were all special in her heart and many friends. Ethel will be welcomed with open arms by her brothers John D. Wilson, Willie D. Wilson; sisters Annie Ruth Wilson and Laura Morris.

Ethel loved to play cards and will win and if you ask “Tee! Whatcha doin?” she would say….”nothing, just chillin.”
