Edward Allen White

Edward A. “Buck” White, was born on April 21, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio, the fourth of five children born to Thomas Jefferson and Dovie Emma (Clark) White, Sr.,

Buck, as he was known to family and friends, was a quiet unassuming man. Never much of a conversationalist but friendly to all he met.

He attended Columbus Public schools and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Post Office and enjoyed many happy years (with his faithful companion Sheba) on his farm.

Buck enjoyed being outdoors cutting grass and tinkering with farm equipment. He liked hunting and fishing and watching football and baseball games on TV.

In 2009, He moved to Fairfield, Ohio to be near his sister after she became ill while visiting her daughter in Hamilton, Ohio.

Buck departed this life, Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Tri-County Care Center, Fairfield, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; Brothers: Thomas Jefferson White Jr. and Robert White; Sisters: Mattie Emma Jean White (infant) and Ellen Ruth White Mann; Great-nephew:  Karl Martin, Jr.; Great niece: Sharie Essence McCray.

Left to cherish his memory are Nieces: Sharon Elaine White (William) Shepherd, Hamilton, OH; Sandra Emma Michelle White Martin, Cleveland, OH; Portia Kay White, Chicago, IL; Shar Danielle Mann, Columbus, OH. Great-niece: Shartel Davone Keith, Columbus, OH. Great-nephews: Martin Timothy (Ingrid) Shepherd, Esq., Pittsburgh, PA; Keith Johnson (Brianca) Martin, Atlanta, GA; Dartanone Eugene Taylor, Cleveland, OH; Derrick Marco Taylor, Sandusky, OH. Great-great- nephews: William Martin Arron Shepherd and Miles Noah Davis Shepherd, Pittsburgh, PA; Cartier Chevelle Taylor, Cleveland, OH. Other relatives and friends.
