Catherine Lavern Ramsey

Catherine Lavern Hill Ramsey was born on 11-19-1950 to Eddie & Willa Hill in Summer Lee, WV . Everyone knew her as Bush...She graduated from Roosevelt High School & later attended and graduated culinary school . She married Joseph Cochran with whom she bore 2 children Elvena & Tiffany. Catherine was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church for many years where she served as a missionary and also on the usher board. She later joined Community Friensdhip COGIC, where she severed on the Mother’s board and also as an evangelist until she passed. She loved God and was famous for passing out mustard seeds as a testimony of how much God can do if you only had a little Faith. She was employed with Butler County Board of MRDD and dedicated herself to her clients for over 23 years until she retired. She was known for her gifts for decorating and making floral arrangements...one of her favorite hobbies was coordinating weddings..she had a creative mind and spirit that never ran dry. She was not only a beautiful person inside, but she also had a physical beauty that drew compliment after compliment. Her make up was always flawless and she was famous for her eyebrows long before eyebrows became a beauty trend. After retirement, she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren & great-grandchildren whom she loved deeply and unselfishly. She was not only a mother to the children she birthed but she also helped to raise , guide and nurture many other’s and was affectionately called “MOTHER” by many. There was never a time when we needed her that she was not there . She was loved, respected, honored & adored and will be missed beyond words or measurements.

She leaves to cherish legacy her children Elvena Cochran, Pamala ( Reginald ) Cole & Tiffany ( Ryan) Jarrett. All residing in Cincinnati, Oh

Granddaughters; Jasmine Cochran, Khristian Smiley, DeAsia Cochran, Aujanae Cochran, Jalyn Ash & Desiree Ash

Grandsons ; Desmond Baker & Kyree Jarrett
And 3 great grandchildren ;Grace Shepard Genesis & Giselle Conley

Sisters; Loretta (Robert) Stuckey, Marion Hill & Emma (Montoya) Hill
Brothers ; Johnnie ( Connie ) Hill & Leroy (Piper) Hill

She is preceded in death by her mother and father ; Eddie & Willa Hill. Siblings Mary Ellen ( Maye) Hill, Ruby (CB) Colemon, Willie Stokes, Sonny( Johnetta) Hill, Major Hill, William ( Carol) Hill & Raymond Hill .

Too many nieces and nephews to name but she loved you all and I’m sure you have your own special story to prove that you were the favorite.
