Reginald Donato Obituary

Reginald U. "Reggie" age 97 of Dayton, OH passed away June 24, 2018. He was born October 21, 1920 in Opelousas, LA to Raphael E. Donato, MD and Marie Odele Donato. In addition to his parents, Reggie was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years Ruth E. Donato, son Bari V. Donato, daughter in law Nancy Wright Donato, brothers Raphael E. Donato, Jr., Fredrick F. Donato, Nathaniel N. Donato, Elridge U. Donato, Sister Robertine Donato McWorter. Reggie is survived by daughters Alicia N. Donato, Janay D. Walker along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Reggie was a proud veteran of the US Army and drove for General Patton during WWII. He retired from the US Post Office after more than 33 years of service. He was a 3rd & 4th Degree Knight of Peter Claver St. Simon of Cyrene Council 353 and 4th Degree Assembly 46. Reggie will be greatly missed by his companion Oda Flemming, long time friends Chris & Willa Averette as well as his loving church family and numerous friends.
