Madelean Sanford

Madelean C. Sanford was born on October 3, 1926 in Boyce, Louisiana to the late Johnny and Blanche Brown. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Ben Williams. Madelean departed this life at the age of 91 on November 1, 2017, in her sleep.
She was an amazing woman who became a LPN at an early age to care for others and provide for her family. On July 31, 1943, she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late George W. Sanford Jr. in Boyce, Louisiana.
She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, her youngest son, Tyrone Sanford and sister, Kathryn Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a son, George W. Sanford, III and his wife, Veronica of Springfield, Virginia; a daughter, Simone Sanford-Wheeler and her husband, Travis of O'Fallon, Illinois; one devoted sister-in-law, Beulah Sanford of Hamilton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Courtney and Kayla Jordan of O'Fallon, Illinois and Zachary Wheeler of Mascoutah, Illinois; Naché Brown of Springfield, Virginia; two nieces, Faye Glenn and Dietra Hardison-Henry; two nephews, Louis Harper and Ralph Harper; one great nephew, Jason Whitlow; one foster brother, James "Jim" Kirkland, Sr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
